Demonstrating the Credentials of Reusable Polypropylene Boxes Over Single Use Cardboard
Hoop is a start-up business which provides sustainable alternatives to single-use cardboard packaging. Hoop approached Blue Marble to conduct a product carbon footprint assessment on their business model to validate its carbon impact claims.
Blue Marble was able to provide a cost-effective solution to Hoop which compared the carbon impact of their reusable polypropylene box with single-use cardboard packaging. The study focused on materials, transport and waste treatment only, but was sufficient to provide a very credible argument for the sustainability of reusable polypropylene over single-use cardboard.
Hoop was able to use Blue Marble’s product carbon footprint work in discussions with potential investors to provide assurance for its carbon impact claims.
