Metalfloor® - An Efficient EPD for Metal Products
Metalfloor® specialises in the supply of raised access flooring solutions to UK and European markets.
In 2024, Metalfloor® commissioned Blue Marble to undertake life cycle assessment and produce an EPD for its Raised Access Flooring Pedestals. Specifically, Blue Marble considered the Metalfloor® MFM pedestals (complying with BS EN 1225) and Metalfloor® MFH pedestals (complying with PSA MOB PF PS/SPU). The dimensions of the pedestals varied and therefore a declared unit of 1kg was chosen to represent the entire range.
The EPD was completed in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and third-party verified in accordance with ISO 14025.
Blue Marble was able to deliver an EN 15804 compliant EPD to meet Metalfloor®’s requirements for establishing product life cycle environmental data.
