EcoVadis Sustainability Assessments are a common requirement for suppliers to larger organisations.

EcoVadis is a sustainability assessment service in an online platform. They evaluate companies on a range of non-financial management systems, including environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. As part of a supplier eligibility or tender process, companies must go through this process and submit a CDP, otherwise there is an impact on your ability to work with larger organisations.
The assessment is based on 21 sustainability criteria across four themes, i.e.: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The results are compiled into scorecards with scores ranging from 0 to 100, along with medals (bronze, silver, gold) to recognise levels of achievement.
The process is responsive to company type which means that you do not have to report on indicators that are not likely to be present within your industry sector.
You will most likely start by completing EcoVadis questionnaire.
