The NHS Evergreen Supplier Assessment is a framework used by the NHS to evaluate its supply chain sustainability, resilience, and ethical practices. Overall, this assessment covers areas such as environmental impact, social value, and governance.
Using an electronic portal, we assess supply chain sustainability on criteria like carbon reduction, labour standards, and transparency. The portal grades the supply chain according to its level of achievement.
The climate change questions reflect a greenhouse gas inventory, which is based on the WRI Green House Gas Protocol. It therefore requires values for your Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions as a starting point. It asks for responses in terms of your publically stated targets, and also if they are intensity based or absolute.
Further queries focus on a company’s interaction with other entities within the space, such as the CDP, SBTi and if both your inventory and targets are externally verified. In all there are approximately 130 questions directly related to greenhouse gas emissions and Net Zero.
